About

I am a licensed psychotherapist with a private practice in Pacific Heights. I offer individual, couple and family therapy. I work with a broad spectrum of issues including relationship issues, family conflict, stress, life transitions, grief or loss, trauma, anxiety and depression.

I have over 12 years experience as a clinician. I studied at Northwestern University receiving a MS in Marriage Family Therapy. Prior to this, I received my undergraduate degree at University of California, Davis and received a BA in Psychology. I have worked in several settings and with different demographics including community outpatient clinic, school based and an adult/adolescent substance abuse program.

My approach is down to earth, direct and intelligent. I focus on strengths, resources and goals and create a collaborative relationship. Problems are explored and understood to help clients come to new understanding of themselves and their relationships. I draw on my knowledge of a variety of approaches and evidence based techniques in a thoughtful and dynamic way including mindfulness, psychodynamic and family systems to integrate what will be most helpful for each client to get on the road to healing and development.

Through my work, I have witnessed clients obtain significant changes that lead to growth, fulfillment and a higher level of happiness.
