Frequently
Asked Questions

  • No, we do not accept insurance. However, we can provide you with an invoice for any out-of-network reimbursement that you can submit to your insurance company.

  • Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long but reserve an hour so that you can transition into your next commitment with more ease.

Longer sessions are offered as appropriate.

  • Research shows therapy is most effective with consistency.  We meet once a week so that you gain the most value from treatment. Together, we will evaluate progress and discuss when it makes sense to change cadence.

  • We have a range of fees, so we can make treatment available to everyone. Our fees are competitive with the market rate in California and reflect the quality of service we provide. Please get in touch to find out more about our current fees.

  • We can see clients anywhere in California via teletherapy (online therapy). One of our clinicians is licensed in Kentucky, Maine, and Colorado and can work remotely with residents of those states.

  • As of January 1, 2022, Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. The “Good Faith Estimate” explains how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
