Meet Stephanie Brissette

Stephanie is an associate marriage and family therapist with experience in private practice, community outpatient services, and eating disorder treatment. She earned her Bachelor’s in Community & Environmental Sociology and a Certificate in Global Public Health from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. 

Stephanie’s Specialties

Stephanie’s areas of clinical interest include couples & relationship work, generalized anxiety, pregnancy & postpartum, infertility, young adult life transitions, and stress/burnout. She has extensive training in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and utilizes additional evidence-based models including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness to meet the unique needs of each client.

BACKGROUND & PERSONAL INTERESTS

Stephanie has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. For individuals, she works from the modalities of Acceptance Commitment Therapy,Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-informed CBT, and mindfulness. As part of her interest and commitment to maternal mental health, she completed the PSI and 2020 Mom Professional Maternal Mental Health Certificate Training and is also trained as a postpartum doula. 

Stephanie loves to spend time in nature, play tennis, swim, read, travel, and connect with friends and family.
